When To Call 911

What is a life-threatening, debilitating, or emergent medical condition?

Those acute symptoms of sufficient severity such that without immediate medical attention a reasonable likelihood exists of:

  1. Seriously jeopardizing patient's health
  2. Seriously impairing bodily functions
  3. Serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part
  4. A pregnant woman having contractions
  5. Psychiatric or substance abuse
  6. Any other medical condition deemed serious in nature

If you have life-threatening, debilitating, or emergent medical complaints, do not register in the Skip the Waiting Room system. You should immediately obtain transportation to the nearest hospital.

If you are unsure of the severity of your complaint, do not register in the Skip the Waiting Room system. When in doubt, seek treatment immediately.
